Abstract: This study summarizes research findings upon physical and chemical determinands of Bursa city solid waste Physical determinands are daily percapita waste production rate, density at the collection truck and upper calorific value. Chemical determinands cover humidity, sodium, potassium, calcium plus magnesium and volatile organics. The above mentioned data is combined with other relavent data to derive some addition determinands such as, total ashcontent, actual wet composition of original Bursa solid waste and various calorific values. it is observed that: a)different socio-economical groups of the city do not produce different sol id wastes characteristics.
