Abstract:
In this study, I will discuss two main theories of organizations the classical organization theory and the human resource theory. I will accomplish this by stating their assumptions, thesis, and their themes. lastly, I will compare the similarities and differences of the two theories and then give my opinion. The roots of classical school can be traced to the industrial revolution era. It focused on the structure of organizations and ignored the human aspects in work place. Human resource theory focuses on human aspects which the classical school ignored incorporating the human behavioral aspects in organizational settings.
