Researchers indicate that there is a need to address disproportional discipline in schools. As the landscape of some schools change the question becomes, how does cultural mismatch in school affect discipline? This dissertation contributes to the conversation on cultural mismatch in the classroom and its effects on discipline. The researcher explored the topic from the perspectives of campus administrators. Through narrative inquiry, campus administrators provided their insight into cultural mismatch, disproportional discipline, school-to-prison pipeline, and the need for professional development. By analyzing campus administrators' narratives, the researcher concluded that their perspectives complement current research on the subject. Moreover, the researcher highlighted the need for professional development in schools to address the topic.
