This platform for communication transmits through all branches of economy and society. Business and e-commerce can operate over the network which is made possible by third parties who provide wired, wireless, and mobile services. These services make it easier to streamline communications and distribute interstate commerce over the Internet. The Internet acts as a global portal overflowing with anonymity, freedom, and a plethora of information. The freedom and anonymity of the Internet also host various actors who use this platform as a means to conduct criminal activity. Criminals manipulate the hidden spaces on the Internet to carry out many cybercrimes. Crimes committed through technological means and the obscurity of the Internet range from intellectual property theft, identity theft, fraud, cyberbullying, espionage, cyberstalking, and crimes against children (OCED, 2010).
