The purpose of this paper is to examine what are the key drivers to employee engagement in the workplace. The different experiences of employees and the leaders of those employees directly relate to employee engagement, which is my primary interest. Different organizations with similar human resource practices and even employee skill sets can change the outcome on an employee's attitude and behaviors. The literature review will first provide insight into the studies that have been done which looks into the relation of employee engagement and business results. The articles then will be examined for the key drivers to employee engagement, how to increase employee engagement and what are the positive results that are linked to increasing employee engagement.
