Özet:
The thesis consists of an introductory chapter along with seven other chapters. Each chapter consists of one problem. In the beginning of each chapter a brief survey of the work done by the other investigators in connection with the problem is given. Special effort has been made to present our contribution in Cogent manner and to avoid repetitions as for as possible.
Chapter 1 gives a general survey of the development of shock wave theory in astrophysical phenomena. A brief description of the methods of studying the propagation of shock waves is given in this thesis. It also contains a brief account of basic equations of motion and boundary conditions.
Chapter 2 deals with the spherically symmetric models of Summers (1975) and Rosenan and Frankenthal (1976) in isothermal conditions using similarity method in homogeneous and non-homogeneous media.
In chapter 3, we have studied the self-similar flows of a non-ideal gas driven by an expanding by fresh erupting solar plasma from the sun for with increasing energy. isothermal piston or some time with increasing energy.
Chapter 4 introduces an analytical solution of the flow behind a spherical shock wave including effect of an idealised azimuthal magnetic field in Roche-Model using method of characteristics.
Chapter 5 discloses the propagation of shock wave in a non uniform rotating atmosphere using Whitham's rule allowing for the effects of an idealised transverse magnetic field in the Summer's model.
In chapter 6, we have investigated the propagation of shock wave in rotating non-uniform atmosphere taking radiative heat flux into consideration using Whitham's rule.
Chapter 7 deals with the solution of the flow variables behind the - shock wave propagating into self-gravitating gas allowing for the effect of radiating heat flux using CCW-method.
In chapter 8 we have discussed the convergent detonation waves in non-ideal gas with the help of CCW-method.
