Özet:
The purpose of this quantitative study was to explore the effects that technology and physical classroom environment have on fostering the skills needed to prepare PK-12 students for future jobs. Survey methodology was used to gather data from PK-12 educators across the United States. The survey was designed by the researcher gathering descriptive information and using Likert-type questions, then tested and validated by experts in the field. The results of the data analysis using descriptive statistics - mean, median, mode and standard deviation indicated that educators believe that technology and learning environment can foster the skills needed to prepare PK-12 students for future jobs. However, there are opportunities to improve professional development practices that will further provide growth opportunities for educators to further develop their skills in these areas to impact student growth. The results of the study have significant implications for practice including collaborations between industries and education, as well as professional development in education technology and learning environment.
