Özet:
What is action? This is the leading question of this thesis. Our starting point is that action characterises our distinctive way of being. We assert Man to be homo auctor, the one who plays and writes his own scripts - that is to say that rationality apart from active intervention does not llilly characterise our human species. To what an extent can we assert action to be a conscious affair? In this context terms such as awareness, will or intention play an extremely important role. We found a striking resemblance between selective thinking and deliberate action. Thinking does not necessarily imply some sort of solipsism rather interaction. We do claim action to assume an equally important role in our quest for meaning and knowledge. Those are processes that imply active inquiry. But does it make sense to speak of action apart from a social context? In that case, who is the agent: a person, an individual or a citizen? Here we come to the need for seeking a parallel between what was found in terms of Action and the domain of Education. Are we to say that they are co-natural processes, that one implies the other? We came to the conclusion that seeking for how we act equals the quest for how we know.
