Özet:
This comparative study of lesson delivery models investigated a concern in decreased reading growth of third graders at the Murray School. The results of the study, though not statistically significant, do demonstrate the need for innovative lesson delivery which includes best practices, strategy based learning, and peer feedback. Students of the 21st century require educators to investigate ways to innovate learning to meet the needs of all learners. The study took place in a suburban school with approximate 100 students and 4 teachers participating. The integrated lesson delivery model was taught to 50 of the students while the other 50 continued with the traditional lesson delivery. The curriculum, teacher experience, and make up of each class remained the same and the following dissertation identifies the purpose of the study as well as the conclusions and recommendations for future study.
