Özet:
The purpose of this research study was to identify the strengths and potential areas of growth for two literacy coaching models used in an international school setting. The qualitative case study revealed three important elements of successful coaching cycles: trusting and supportive relationships, consistent use of student data, and the use of a collegial and co-learning framework. The results of this study highlighted the importance of establishing a coaching culture that is focused on student growth rather than teacher practice. However, more research needs to be done to determine how a coach can create a sustainable collaborative culture within a school, as well as how a coach's effectiveness can be measured.
