Özet:
The purpose of this project is to propose a counseling support group for high school students who have experienced a traumatic brain injury (TBI). The proposed counseling support group utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy framework to support students with TBI in their academic and emotional development, and aid them in reintegrating into school safely. A review of the literature underscores the significant effects of TBI on high school students' academic abilities and emotional well-being. In examining the existing research, support is provided for the necessity and effectiveness of a CBT group counseling approach to support high school students recovering from TBI. Through challenging inaccurate thoughts and fostering relationships with their peers with TBI, students will be able to navigate their high school experiences with confidence and support, and work towards achieving their dreams.
